What to expect
before your first visit
At Holland Chiropractic Center our new patient forms are completed in the convenience of your own home. These forms will be emailed to you after you schedule your first initial visit, so please make sure to provide an email address. Completing your paperwork prior to your first visit ensures a seamless transition into our care. This will help the doctors connect with you and provide the care you are looking for prior to coming in.
Also, prior to your first visit, if you provide us with your health insurance, we will do our best to verify what chiropractic benefits you have.
first visit
When you come in to our office, you'll be greeted by our lovely team member, Angi. She will get you checked in for your appointment. Since you have completed your paperwork prior to your first visit, she will take a scan of your photo ID and gather any additional forms needed.
Your first chiropractic visit will take about one hour. You will meet with Dr Alex or Dr Megan to discuss your paperwork and health history. They will take time to gather all important information. They will then take you through an exam to determine problem areas. This might include range of motion, postural analysis, and neurological and orthopedic testing if necessary. They will take their time to educate you on their findings and help you feel involved in your care.
Once the consultation and exam is completed, the doctor will be able to decide what spinal x-rays are necessary. The x-ray room is just down the hall so we will be able to take them at your first visit. At Holland Chiropractic, our x-ray machine is digital which makes this process quick and easy.
Following your x-rays, the doctor will discuss with you key findings in your images. Depending on timing and examination findings, the doctors might proceed forward with your first adjustment!
second visit
On your next visit, we will go over your key exam findings, further x-ray findings and check in to see how you did with your first adjustment. With this information we will educate you on chiropractic care and provide you with specific recommendations for care. We will walk you through what care looks like in our office and answer any questions you have moving forward.
